The Career - What it is:

Apothecary Products (APL) is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice who will receive on-the-job training to learn how to repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot industrial equipment at the company’s Burnsville manufacturing plant. This hands-on position will also support general facility maintenance activities as part of a small team. This full-time opportunity is best suited for a mechanically inclined individual who desires a career as a Maintenance/Industrial Technician within 1 year.




The Opportunity - At A Glance:

  • Day Shift: Monday – Friday from 8am – 4:30pm with infrequent overtime
  • Ability and willingness to learn how to troubleshoot, problem solve and complete maintenance on production related equipment for a wide range of equipment types under the guidance of more experienced Maintenance team members. Equipment includes automated packaging systems, liquid bottling lines, and printing presses.
  • The incumbent will begin their career with us learning how to perform preventive/predictive maintenance activities and later progress to performing minor repair activities.
  • This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow in areas of electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, preventative maintenance, and general facility.
  • The company will provide paid on-the-job training and financially sponsor external education classes required to be successful in the role.

Qualifications + Experience:

We seek applicants with these critical skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No work experience required 
  • Willingness to develop skill set through hands-on and classroom training
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Safety first mindset
  • Strong communicator – written and verbal
  • Technical proficiency to productively work with and in Microsoft Office and other business systems
  • Verified experience operating in a fast-paced business
  • Verified personal and professional values aligning with the company (Winning, Excellence, Collaboration, Accountability, and Each Other - WE CARE)

Preferred qualifications include:

  • It is helpful to have prior experience operating plant equipment or working in a similar capacity for any length of time
