The Career - What it is:

Injection Molding Solutions (IMS), a division of Apothecary Products (APL) is currently seeking a motivated Quality Technician to join the team! This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced small business, inspecting products related to medical device, sporting equipment, hunting equipment, and other recreational products. 

 

This particular opportunity is for 3rd shift hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00pm-7:30am with a $1.50 shift differential! 

 

In this role the incumbent will:

  • Perform receiving inspecition of incoming material  
  • Provide effective quality technical and inspection support to molding operations
  • Review, investigate, and resolve non-conforming material issues; work with supervisors to resolve CAR's using problem solving techniques
  • Inspect product per requirements, including visual checks for parts, and logs information into inspecition paperwork
  • Operate inspection equipment including calibrated Micrometers, Calipers, Vision, Indicators and other inspection tools
  • Perform PPAPs and first article inspections and document information

Qualifications + Experience:

We seek applicants with these critical skills and experience:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 3+ years experience in quality/manufacturing, preferred
  • 2+ years quality inspection experience in an injection molding environment, preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently, organize, multitask, and interpret priorities using sound judgement
  • Strong basic mathematical and statistical skills; effective communication skills 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel
